Illinois high school first to feature gay dance

Gay students at a suburban Chicago high school are planning their school’s first mixer for LGBT students.  I love the quotes the Chicago Tribune plucked out of them:

They wanted a splashy affair open to all students and neighboring schools, said senior Aliya de Grazia, 17, the club’s co-president.

“We’re working on a disco ball and disco lights,” de Grazia said.

“Full kitsch. People love kitsch,” quipped co-president David Norman, 17.

Yes, I watch America’s Best Dance Crew

And there is no shame about it.  Two stand-out crews, (in my humble opinion) were the 80’s retro bopper crew, Fanny Pak, and the acrobatic, off-the-wall crew, Super CR3W.  Here’s a video of each group respectively, from their performances on this weeks show.
