Poster Boy is what some might consider to be the New York version of Banksy, and while it’s hard to equate artists, he does seem to have a similar urban art style. Using a razor blade, Poster Boy slices advertisements found in subway terminals to create new pieces of art.
After seeing the site from my previous post, I remembered seeing an entry on Towleroad, about the rising number of gay ‘zines in NYC. He references a story in New York Magazine, “New York-Based Gay Magazines Are Thriving”.
“The seventies saw the first rise in ’zine culture, and then again in the mid-eighties, when the plain-paper copier made life easier. But the last few years have definitely been a new phenomenon.” Bronson credits Butt magazine, founded in Amsterdam and now edited in New York, with influencing a new generation of titles that are at once arty and dirty
Above is a shot of Pinups, a photo zine featuring one or two men per issue, and the pages can be removed to form a large poster.

The wacky folks at Improv Everywhere have pulled another prank. This one involved a bunch of identical twins, dressing the same and sitting on oppopsite sides of the subway.
It created a “human mirror” effect, causing some hilarious reactions from other riders. If you are a Binghamton student you make recognize one of the pair of twins, the Rosenblums, who are seniors at Binghamton.
